We used GoKo Travels on our recent trip to Vietnam. We are a family of six and this was our first trip to Vietnam.

From the moment George began working with us it was an incredible experience. He asked great questions to try to get to know our travel style and preferences and took that all into account when creating an itinerary. He communicated frequently and in a timely manner. When I wanted some experiences that weren’t normally conducted by his service providers, George found a way to make it all happen and without any problems!

While on the trip George checked in with us to be sure all was going as planned. He obviously communicated with the tour providers well because they all knew our names, allergies, and preferences. Each guide was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond during their time with us!

The accommodations George recommended were top notch and unlike any others we have experienced!

To find a mix of activities, tours, and down time that appeals to all of your children is next to impossible, but George made it happen! We had not one complaint from our children while on the trip and they each said they wouldn’t change a thing about!

I can’t say enough positive things about George and his team. We felt like we were his only clients with all of the attention we received and were able to just sit back and enjoy or trip without stress!

A friend referred us to Goko after having booked an incredible honeymoon, so we jumped into planning with George with confidence. He spoke with me directly about our traveling goals and preferences, and then put together options that were inline with our conversation. The entire booking process was easy and hassle-free. We booked a 3 1/2 week trip through 3 countries in SE Asia, and Goko took care of all of the details - all intra/inter country flights, all transportation, hotel bookings and local guides. We hit Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. The majority of our time was spent in Thailand, traversing from Chiang Mai all the way down to Koh Samui. The pacing was perfectly planned for our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 teens), and the excursions delivered on showing us parts of countries that we would not have otherwise been able to see.

In Bangkok, our guide Nai was incredibly thoughtful about each day of excursions, taking care of all our needs and checking in w/us frequently to ensure we were truly enjoying ourselves. He was kind and genuinely enjoyed showing us around - he was knowledgeable and eager to share the surrounding culture with us. Highly recommend Nai!

We absolutely loved Chiang Mai - we enjoyed a few days at an elephant sanctuary (the Karen tribe overnight was 1000 times better than our first night at Thai Orchid and shouldn't be missed), then came down into the city for a few days - the Saturday Night Market in Chiang Mai is amazing and we had the absolute best street food here.

We then headed down south to take in Surat Thani, Koh Tao and Koh Samui. Amazing experiences in all of these places! I had selected Cape Shark Pool Villas as our hotel in Koh Tao, and it was incredibly beautiful but a bit farther from the beach than I had realized. In a future trip, I would definitely look to stay on the beach in Koh Tao.

After wrapping a week of beach time (which was absolutely amazing), we headed to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our hotel in Cambodia was my absolute favorite - the Golden Temple Retreat. If I'm lucky, I will get to visit again and pro tip, I will request a room on the first floor - they open to the pool and have swings and beds poolside on the ground level.

Our guide in Cambodia was Seavathdy - Dee for short. We can not express how tremendous Dee is - she was the absolute highlight of our trip. Dee is absolutely one of the most beautiful people I've ever met and you feel her heart when you're on excursions with her. Her family and her history is from the Angkor Wat area, and the way she is able to weave her own personal stories into every place we visited - it just elevated our whole visit to an entirely new level. Ask for Dee in Siem Reap!

We had a few minor hiccups along the way (hotel not being able to find our reservation despite our confirmation, for example), but reaching out to Goko and the designated emergency contacts had those hurdles quickly addressed and resolved. There wasn't a single major issue, and all parts of our trip were so well planned and looked after that I've been recommending Goko to friends and strangers alike on a daily basis.

I have previously always planned my own trips, so it was hard for me to release the reigns and trust someone else. But I didn't have any experience with this part of the world, and Goko took incredibly good care of us. I will absolutely be using them again in future for places I've not yet explored on my own, and I will continue to highly recommend them to our friends when they are planning their travel to Asia! You can trust Goko to take care of your travel needs!

My wife and I spoke with a lot of travel agencies while planning our honeymoon to Bali and Thailand, but from our very first conversation with George, it was clear that we would be using Goko as our travel agent. His attention to detail was on another level—every transfer, activity, hotel, and timing was thought through perfectly.

The itinerary he built for us was not only seamless but incredibly well-curated. We never felt rushed, everything flowed naturally, and we got to experience the absolute best each destination had to offer. Helped pull together a bespoke itinarary for our 3 week trip to Costa Rica in an extremely unpredictable climate with covid over xmas time. We loved having flexibility of choosing different activities, meaning we got everything and more than we imagined!

The entire trip was so smooth, transfers were always in the right place at the right time and any clarifications that were needed, Goko were always there on hand and extremely responsive. The trip was so well thought out, with stop overs and logical routes being suggested you can tell they know their field really well. Cant thank Goko enough for sorting our trip of a lifetime...until next time (you have customers for life!)

We had incredible guides who absolutely made this trip, but the two we had the longest really stand out - Naa, and then Nui. Their English was excellent and they were more than willing to share experiences and answer questions. They took us places that we never would have found on our own. Not only were they lovely people but they were very knowledgeable about the history and architecture - two of our favourite topics! The planning with George, the many phones calls and emails, meant we had a trip really tailored to our interests. The fact that Kim Kim asked questions and had us fill out a survey helped me zero in on what we wanted. Plus I had done a ton of research. Once he found out what our interests were, George made additional suggestions for places we hadn’t thought of that ended up being standouts - Kanchanaburi and Erawan Falls, the cooking class in Chiang Mai, the food tour in Bangkok, the hike in Op Luong National Park, the canal tour in Bangkok and the dinner reservations at B Samcook in Chiang Mai (possibly the best meal we have ever had!) and the dinner cruise in Bangkok. Honestly, there was not one single experience that we had on this trip where we were even remotely disappointed or felt let down. We ended every day saying ‘wow what an incredible day’. I’ve travelled enough to know how unusual that is!

GoKo was amazing in helping to plan my trip away, especially through such a turbulent time. They took all the stress and were extremely attentive. They anticipated all my questions and were completely on top of everything. The hotel was unreal and it met all my expectations of a 5 Star retreat.

What can I say about GoKo except they created a trip of a lifetime.

They set up a full 3 week itinerary for Costa Rica including loads of sporting activities and some unbelievable hotels. They took into account everything we wanted to do - we didn't make it easy, we were fussy customers! They responded kindly, professionally and so happy to make any alterations to the activities.

They sorted everything for us (accomodation, a lot of the food, all transfers, local contacts) except flights which gave us the flexibility to shop around for best airline deals. It ended up being a once in a lifetime adventure including whitewater rafting, canoeing, volcano hikes, city tours, and the most animal spotting you can imagine. Some of the hotel's we were given were pure paradise and it never felt like we were in a resort or surrounded by other tourists - it felt like it was our own little world!

When first planning out Vietnam trip, I felt a little lost and was in desperate need of some proper expert advice. Getting in touch with GoKo Travels was the best thing we could have done. They were so helpful and insightful and you could really tell that George, the founder, has first hand experiences to share. We booked an amazing trip around Halong Bay with GoKo and it has by far been the highlight of our entire trip. Everything was well organised and we absolutely loved our party cruise. We got exactly the cabin that we were shown beforehand and had to do absolutely no organisation ourselves. We can’t wait to book another trip with GoKo and could not recommend them highly enough.

What a great booking experience. The team at GoKo were great thought the booking process, being able to answer any questions that we had, especially in response to the current covid pandemic.
