Standing at an impressive 5,895m, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and Tanzania’s most iconic landmark. Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, unlike other parks in northern Tanzania, is not visited for the wildlife, but for the chance to climb to the incredible summit. 

This historic World Heritage Site was formed over 1 million years ago by volcanic movement along the Rift Valley. Now, Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano with three volcanic cones – Shira, Kibo, and Mawenzi – and at 19,336ft, is the tallest climbable peak in the world (after Everest of course). The highest point is Uhuru Peak on Kibo, which stands proudly as one of the Seven Summits of the world.

Kilimanjaro is an astonishingly beautiful place, boasting many diverse levels of flora and fauna, agricultural fields, rainforests, fresh meadows, snow capped peaks, and even a desert!

Everest Base Camp Trek – let the games begin!

Standing at a formidable 8,848m, the summit of Mount Everest offers the perfect backdrop for this trek of a lifetime. Starting in Lukla, your route will take you through Sherpa villages, past beautiful monasteries and over jaw-dropping suspension bridges until you reach the base camp of the world’s highest mountain.

Jumping from your plane Lukla, you will follow the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay – the first climbers to ever summit Everest. Traditionally, a visit to the Grand Canyon includes majestically soaring overhead in a private helicopter or looking down on the iconic red rock from above. However, they aren’t the only two ways you can explorer this incredible natural wonder.

With all that said, it is still quite hard to secure a private rafting permit, so if you do decide to book onto this trip, you will need to book with a guide and way in advance to guarantee an spot through this incredible ancient rock formation.

Get ready for the UK’s most fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as you take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales!

The National 3 Peaks Challenge tackles the heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m)! All you have to do is complete this task in under 24 hours! Have you got what it takes?

Over the course of 24 hours, you will trek a total of around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m. This challenge should not be taken lightly and requires a good level of fitness, as well as plenty of grit and determination.

To put it simply…Patagonia is mind-blowingly breathtaking – and one of GoKo Travels favourite places on planet earth. 

Any hike in these mountain ranges  – whether its a short day hike or a 3-week expedition – will leave you speechless.

The High Tatra is the ultimate Slovak Adventure. From natural hot springs, waterfall trails and dramatic mountain peaks, this trip has it all!

Getting picked up from Krakow Airport (Poland), you will be transferred to the village of Zuberec (Slovakia). From here you will explore the intricacies of the epic Tatras mountains which boasts unearthly beauty, stunning glacier lakes, and unexpecting wildlife (including lynx and bears) – so be prepared to have your mind blown.

New Zealand boasts a countless number of incredible hiking trails and walks. However, in our humble opinion, the Milford Track may we the best of them all.

This four-day, 53.5km hike that begins at the stunning Lake Te Anau to Milford Sound, cuts through the Fiordland National Park passing lakes, waterfalls, ice fields, forests and ancient history, before topping out at the panoramic Mackinnon Pass (1,154m).
