Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Bali, Arrival into Ubud

Om Swastiastu and welcome to Bali. Upon arrival, you will be met and privately transferred to Ubud, Bali’s cultural and spiritual heart. Surrounded by rice fields, temples, artisan workshops, and jungle greenery, Ubud offers a wonderfully grounding introduction to the island.

Depending on your preferred style of stay, you may choose a simple and authentic retreat tucked amongst the rice paddies, or opt for a more luxurious wellness-led property with jungle views, refined design, and elevated facilities. Once settled in, the rest of the day is yours to relax, recover from your journey, and begin easing into the rhythm of Bali.

Day 2

Acclimatisation Day in Ubud

Today has been left free for you to settle into Ubud at a slower pace. Begin with a leisurely breakfast overlooking the surrounding greenery before spending the morning enjoying your hotel and adjusting to your new surroundings.

You may wish to lounge by the pool, enjoy a traditional Balinese spa treatment, or simply sip locally grown coffee while taking in the calm atmosphere. In the afternoon, perhaps head out for a gentle walk through the nearby village lanes or along the Campuhan Ridge, soaking up the natural beauty and quiet charm that make Ubud so special. This is a restorative day designed to ease you into the journey ahead.

Day 3

Sacred Sites, Rice Terraces & the Heart of Ubud

Today, discover some of Ubud’s most iconic highlights. Begin with a visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a beautiful and atmospheric haven of towering banyan trees, moss-covered temples, and playful long-tailed macaques. The sanctuary offers a unique mix of spirituality, history, and nature, making it one of Ubud’s most memorable experiences.

Continue to the stunning Tegalalang Rice Terraces, where the island’s famous subak irrigation system has created one of Bali’s most celebrated landscapes. Wander through the terraced paddies, admire the intricate patterns of vivid green fields, and enjoy the beautiful countryside setting. For those wanting a more adventurous perspective, the Bali Swing offers a dramatic and fun photo opportunity over the terraces.

Later in the day, visit Ubud Palace, a historic royal residence with elegant Balinese architecture and beautifully preserved courtyards, before strolling through the nearby Ubud Art Market. Here, you can browse handcrafted goods, textiles, jewellery, wood carvings, and one-of-a-kind souvenirs created by local artisans. It is a varied and rewarding day that captures the essence of Ubud’s cultural heart.

Day 4

White Water Rafting & Jungle High Tea

Today brings a fun and scenic adventure through Bali’s lush interior, beginning with a white water rafting experience on one of the island’s beautiful jungle rivers. Surrounded by dense tropical greenery, dramatic gorges, and hidden waterfalls, this is an exciting yet accessible way to experience Bali’s natural beauty from a completely different perspective. As you paddle downstream, you will pass through peaceful stretches of rainforest and gentle rapids, making it a great mix of soft adventure and immersive scenery.

Afterwards, slow the pace with a relaxed high tea experience in a beautiful setting, where you can enjoy a selection of sweet and savoury treats alongside tea or coffee. This offers a lovely contrast to the morning’s activity and a chance to unwind while soaking up the atmosphere. The remainder of the afternoon can then be left at leisure for you to relax back at your hotel or continue exploring Ubud at your own pace.

Day 5

Into Bali’s Highlands: Transfer to Munduk

After breakfast, leave Ubud behind and travel north into the cooler, quieter highlands of Munduk. This scenic region is known for its misty hills, coffee plantations, waterfalls, and panoramic mountain views, offering a completely different side of Bali.

Depending on your chosen accommodation, you may stay in a peaceful eco-retreat nestled among the rice fields or opt for a more luxurious highland hideaway with sweeping views and elevated facilities. Either way, Munduk is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and experience a softer, more tranquil pace of travel. The remainder of the day is left free for you to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere.

Day 6

Healing Rituals, Hidden Waterfalls & Mountain Scenery

This morning begins with a Melukat water blessing, one of Bali’s most meaningful spiritual rituals. Designed to cleanse and purify the body and soul, the ceremony is deeply rooted in Balinese Hindu tradition and symbolises the release of negative energy. Led by a local healer near a secluded holy spring, this is a peaceful and grounding experience that offers a deeper connection to the spiritual side of the island.

Afterwards, set out to explore the natural beauty of Bali’s northern highlands. Stop first at the famous Handara Gate, framed by misty forested hills, before taking in panoramic views across the twin crater lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan. Continue to Wanagiri Hidden Hills, a scenic lookout point that offers sweeping views over the lakes and surrounding jungle.

The day then continues with a guided jungle trek through Munduk’s lush hills to visit Munduk and Melanting Waterfalls, both surrounded by spice plantations, coffee trees, and dense forest. Along the way, your guide will share insight into local agricultural traditions and everyday life in the highlands. After a relaxed lunch with beautiful valley views, return to your hotel by late afternoon with time to unwind.

Day 7

Optional Highland Experiences & Coffee Tasting

This morning is left flexible, allowing you to choose the experience that best suits your interests. You may wish to visit an organic farm and learn more about tropical crop cultivation and soil ecosystems, enjoying a deeper connection to the land and agricultural traditions of Bali.

Alternatively, you may opt for a hands-on cooking class, where you will discover the flavours and techniques behind traditional Balinese cuisine using fresh local ingredients. For those seeking something gentler and more restorative, yoga in the peaceful highland surroundings offers a chance to slow down and reconnect, while a Balinese dance class provides a beautiful cultural immersion through movement, symbolism, and rhythm.

In the afternoon, enjoy a coffee tasting experience at Munduk Moding Plantation. Here, you will explore Bali’s rich coffee heritage through a guided bean-to-cup journey, learning about cultivation, drying, roasting, and brewing techniques. Surrounded by the misty highland scenery, this is a wonderfully calm and rewarding experience, especially for coffee lovers.

Day 8

Temple Visit & Journey to Candidasa

This morning, visit the beautiful Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, one of Bali’s most iconic and photogenic sacred sites. Set beside the calm waters of Lake Beratan and framed by cool mountain air, the temple appears to float on the lake, creating a peaceful and dreamlike setting. Take time to wander the temple complex, admire the traditional architecture, and enjoy the serene atmosphere before continuing your journey.

Later, travel east by private transfer to Candidasa on Bali’s quieter eastern coastline. The drive takes you through lush countryside, rice terraces, and traditional villages, offering a lovely transition between two very different parts of the island. Candidasa is known for its calm atmosphere, fishing villages, and laid-back seaside charm, making it an ideal place to slow down and unwind. The rest of the day is left free to enjoy your hotel and settle into the relaxed rhythm of Bali’s east coast.

Day 9

Tenganan Village & Leisure by the Coast

This morning, take a short drive to Tenganan Village, one of Bali’s oldest and most culturally important Bali Aga settlements. This traditional village preserves a way of life that predates much of Bali’s Hindu influence and offers a rare insight into the island’s older customs, architectural styles, and weaving traditions.

On a guided walk through the village, you will learn about the community’s rituals, daily life, farming practices, and the intricate double ikat textiles for which Tenganan is particularly known. It is a gentle and meaningful cultural experience, offering a more authentic and historical perspective on Bali.

Afterwards, return to Candidasa for a leisurely afternoon. You may wish to relax at your hotel, walk along the shoreline, or browse the town’s local cafés, markets, and small artisan shops. It is a beautifully balanced day of culture and coastal calm.

Day 10

Free Day of Leisure in Candidasa

Today is left entirely free for you to enjoy Candidasa at your own pace. This peaceful coastal town is ideal for slowing down and embracing a gentler side of Bali, away from the busier resorts of the south.

You may wish to spend the day by the pool, enjoy the spa, stroll along the coast, or head into town for coffee and a light lunch while watching daily life unfold. Whether you choose to do very little or explore more of the local area, today is all about rest, space, and soaking up the quiet charm of Bali’s eastern shoreline.

Day 11

Tirta Gangga, Taman Ujung & Transfer to Uluwatu

Today, leave the peaceful coastline of Candidasa behind and journey south towards Uluwatu, with scenic cultural stops along the way. First, visit Tirta Gangga, one of Bali’s most beautiful former royal water palaces, known for its elegant pools, stepping stones, fountains, and lush gardens set against a backdrop of eastern Bali’s hills. You will then continue to Taman Ujung Water Palace, another striking royal site where grand architecture, reflective pools, and sweeping views create one of the island’s most atmospheric heritage settings. Together, these stops add a lovely cultural and visual element to the transfer, offering a deeper glimpse into Bali’s regal and spiritual history.

After exploring, continue onwards to Uluwatu, one of Bali’s most dramatic and stylish coastal regions. Known for its clifftop scenery, ocean views, surf culture, and unforgettable sunsets, Uluwatu offers a very different atmosphere to both Ubud and Candidasa. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, whether that means relaxing within the resort grounds, taking in the views, or simply easing into the final coastal chapter of the itinerary.

Day 12

Nusa Penida Island Adventure

Today, set out on a full-day group tour to Nusa Penida, one of the most dramatic and visually striking islands off Bali’s coast. After an early morning transfer to Sanur Harbour, board a fast boat across to the island, where you will be met and taken to explore its western highlights.

Visit Angel’s Billabong, a natural infinity pool formed by crystal-clear tidal waters and rugged rock formations, followed by Broken Beach, where a natural arch curves around a turquoise bay below. Continue to the famous Kelingking Beach viewpoint, known for its dramatic cliff formation and sweeping ocean views.

After lunch at a local restaurant, conclude your exploration at Crystal Bay, where you can relax by the beach or enjoy the clear coastal waters before returning by boat to Bali. It is a full but spectacular day, ideal for travellers wanting to experience one of the region’s most iconic island landscapes.

Day 13

Wellness, Leisure & Uluwatu Sunset Culture

Begin your day with a restorative wellness experience at Santai Recovery Sanctuary. Enjoy time in the saunas and ice baths before indulging in a private 90-minute Balinese massage, designed to relax the body and restore balance. It is a wonderful way to begin the day feeling reset and re-energised.

The rest of the day is then left free for you to enjoy as you please. You may wish to relax at your hotel, take in the scenery, or simply enjoy a slower pace before your departure.

In the evening, you may choose to attend the Kecak Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple, one of Bali’s most atmospheric cultural performances. Set dramatically above the Indian Ocean, the temple offers spectacular sunset views, while the performance itself brings ancient Ramayana stories to life through chanting, dance, and fire in a truly unforgettable cliffside setting.

Day 14

Departure

Today, enjoy your final morning in Bali before your private transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.

As your journey comes to an end, you leave with memories of sacred temples, jungle waterfalls, highland rituals, coastal stillness, and a deeper connection to Bali’s culture, landscapes, and spirit.
