Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival into Calgary:

WELCOME TO CANADA.

Upon your arrival into Calgary, you will meet your guides before jumping onto the free airport shuttle that will take you directly to your hotel for the night.

Now it is time to relax after your long journey. Have a beer in the hotel bar or jump into one of the two rooftop hot tubs that overlook the city. This will be the first time you get to meet your fellow travellers in the flesh.

Once acquainted, your guide will take you to your welcome dinner (not included).

No meals included today.

Day 2

Banff National Park:

After breakfast at the hotel, we will jump onto our private mini-bus and be transferred to the epic Banff National Park.

Here we will embark on our first hike in the Canadian Rockies, as we tackle the winding trails to the beautiful Minnewanka Lake.

Once complete, we will set up camp at Tunnel Mountain campground in Banff National Park and enjoy our first camp dinner around a roaring fire.

Included:

  • All meals (B/L/D) included.
  • Tunnel Mountain campground
  • Banff NP entrance fee.

Day 3

Banff National Park:

Ready for a challenge?

Today we hike the incredibly famous Hike Cory Pass. Hiking around 14,3 km, we will gain 1075 m elevation within a 6 to 8 hours walk.

This incredible hike through Edith and Cory Passes is the most varied hike close to Banff, circuiting through a number of different micro-ecosystems – from a steep and dry ridge, to an arid pass, back through a lush forest.

Big day today, so we will enjoy a heartily meal at a good restaurant before heading back to our campsite to sing songs and tell stories around the fire.

Included:

  • B/L
  • Tunnel Mountain campground
  • Banff NP entrance fee.

Excluded:

  • Meal at restaurant.

Day 4

Jasper National Park:

I hope you've charged your camera batteries because today we drive through arguably the most scenic road in the world - The Ice-field Parkway!!

We will stop as many times as you like, so you can jump out and take photos. We will also stop along the routes major points of interest - with the possibility of a mini-hike that takes you to a better vantage point!

This afternoon we will check in our campground, and once again, we will have dinner around the campfire.

Included:

  • B/L/D
  • Jasper NP entrance fee.

Day 5

Jasper National Park:

Today, it is time to get your hiking boots back on as we tackle another epic mountain trail.

This morning we will set our sights on Bald Hills, which rewards us with a panoramic view of Maligne Lake. We will hike around 10.4 km return and gain about 500 m in elevation. Total walking time is about 4-6 hours depending on group fitness.

In the afternoon, you will have time to relax in the campground and soak up the scenery.

Included:

  • B/L/D
  • Whistler Campground
  • Jasper NP entrance fee.

Day 6

Jasper National Park (Canyoning):

Today may just be the highlight of the trip as you canyon down jaspers pool and dried up waterfalls!!

Morro Canyon is a 5 hours mountainous adventure that takes you into a wilderness area few people have the opportunity to see. While being primarily a dry canyon, Morro does feature multiple pools of water that you will wade through. You are going to get your feet wet, but that is about it.

The trip features a moderate-difficult approach hike of approximately 2 hours with an elevation gain of about 480m - this requires a good level of physical fitness. Once you reach the canyon, there are eight rappels and many more supported manoeuvres with the longest rappel being approximately 20 meters.

In the evening, after we have had a strong feed in a nearby restaurant, we will return for our final night in Whistlers Campground.

Included:

  • B/L
  • Canyoning Morro Canyon (5 hours)
  • Whistler Campground
  • Jasper NP entrance fee.

Excluded:

  • Meal at restaurant.

Day 7

Lake Louise:

Today is your first and last day of doing...NOTHING!

In the morning, we will be transferred to Lake Louise where you can chill out for the rest of the day!

Honestly - the day is yours!! Read a book, do a small hike, go for a swim, jump on a paddleboard, pop into town or simply take in the surroundings.

Included:

  • B/L/D
  • Lake Louise Campground
  • Yoho NP entrance fee

Day 8

Lake Louise:

This morning, we will wake up early and be transferred to the stunning Yoho National Park.

From here, we will hike the iconic Iceline trail and use the Celeste Lake loop to circle back to Lake Louise. Today is long (6-8 hours) as we embark on a 20.2 km hike, with an elevation gain of around 894 m.

The trek will end in Yoho Nation Park, before being transferred back to Lake Louise where you can enjoy a nice warm shower before we head out for dinner in town.

Included:

  • B/L/D (including meal in town)
  • Lake Louise Campground
  • Yoho NP entrance fee

Day 9

Lake Louise:

Rise and shine - today we embark on another adventure and it is absolutely stunning.

In the morning we will connect the Lake Agnes and Plain of Six Glaciers trails (via the Highline trail) to form one big 5 hours (14.6km) loop.

Beyond Lake Louise, you’ll discover a high mountain treasure chest; a collection of impressive peaks, lakes and glaciers. Here, you will also get the chance to enjoy the view while munching down a slice of cake and a hot pot of tea in one of the 2 teahouses that sits at the top of the hill (tea and cake not included)

Once again, we will pop into town for dinner tonight. Dinner isn't included so the town is yours for the taking!

Included:

  • B/L
  • Lake Louise Campground
  • Yoho NP entrance fee

Excluded:

  • Meal at restaurant.

Day 10

Lake Louise (White-water rafting):

HELL YEAH!! Today is a big one - so strap on in!

It is time to tackle the 24km Kicking Horse River as we undertake a stunning (yet wet) adventure through Yoho national park. Starting at 8:45am this trip combines the beauty of the upper section (along with its warm-up rapids and wave sections) with the BIG whitewater found downstream.

The trip kicks off with the crashing waves of ‘Alarm Clock’, just to make sure everyone is awake! After stunning scenery and more warm-up rapids, it will be time for the action-packed, continuous whitewater section for which the Kicking Horse River is most famous for.

BUT IT GETS BETTER! After all that excitement, we will enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch back at the RiverBase and hopefully a cold beer too.

Once satisfied, we will return back to Lake Louise for our very last night under the stars.

Included:

  • B/L/D (including BBQ at raft river base)
  • Rafting trip (5 hours)
  • Lake Louise Campground
  • Yoho NP entrance fee

Day 11

Calgary:

Today we can either enjoy our last hike or just spend some free time exploring Banff or Canmore village.

In the afternoon, we will leave the mountains and head back to the city of Calgary.

Tonight is the last evening in Canada - so we will come together for a farewell dinner and an evening on the town.

Included:

  • B/L
  • Hotel

This also enables the regeneration of degraded habitats, which gradually re-absorb atmospheric CO2.
