Sustainability Policy:
Baan Kilee is a part of the incredible Chai Talay Estate. The Chai Talay Estate is not only world-class, but it prides itself on its strong ethos of sustainability and eco-consciousness.
This plastic-free resort promises not to use single-use plastic bottles, bags, straws or cutlery and crockery and guests are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles and be conscious of their environmental impact during their stay.
If not possible, guests can purchase branded aluminium bottles at the villa.
CTE x Sisters on Samui Community Garden Initiative
Chai Talay Estate proudly sponsors the Sisters on Samui Community Gardens Initiative (SoS). The SoS project allows families to grow and harvest their own fresh vegetables and fruits through the use of land banks donated to the local community. The initiative came into effect during the COVID-19 pandemic as thousands of local people suffered job losses, without furlough or government support.
Since 1 acre of organic gardens spans part of the Chai Talay Estate, the donation of land banks to the SoS Community Garden Initiative was deemed to be the best vehicle to extend assistance within the region.
With this, guests can freely enjoy the gardens and the organic produce whilst knowing their stay at Chai Talay Estate helps support the local communities.

Lipa Noi, Samui:
Baan Kilee is located on the banks of Lipa Noi. These stunning white sands are commonly referred to as the most picturesque beach on Koh Samui island. Acting as the gateway to Angthong National Marine Park, Lipa Noi beach looks out to the world-renowned "Five islands" as well as the stunning mountainous backdrop of Samui’s exterior. Only 30 minutes from the airport and the vibrant region of Chaweng, this phenomenal villa opens the beach up to all sorts of activities, such as water sports, sailing, beach volleyball and even rock pool exploring.
For those up for an adventure, head off the beaten track to visit the islands beautiful waterfalls, enjoy an 18-hole competitive game of golf at the Santiburi’s championship course, or explore the local villages and hillside trails by either foot or bike. Although the sea is swimmable all year round, summer offers especially low tides with the reef visible for up to 100m. There are also a number of fantastic restaurants and 5-star resorts within the area, should you fancy fine dining away from your villa one evening.
Getting There:
FLIGHT: Koh Samui has its own Airport, so guests can flying into the island direct from the following airports: Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Phuket.
CAR: For those hiring a rental car, we suggest drop off to be arranged at the villa, or to follow the transfer van with your luggage. All you have to do is ask and we can arrange a car for you on arrival. It is extremely important to arrange a transfer for your day of arrival so our local drivers can get you to the villa easily. Alternatively, driving between Phuket and Koh Samui by car will take you through some of Thailand’s most wonderful views on the way.
TRAIN: You will depart from Bangkok’s Hualamphong Train Station and arrive at Surat Thani Station. Once you arrive, there will be a shuttle bus service (which you can book in advance along with the train ticket) that will take you to the coast and the Don Sak Pier. From the pier, you may take either the ferry or the high-speed catamaran to take you straight to Koh Samui. The ferry trip takes 90 minutes, and the high-speed catamaran is around 45 minutes.
PRIVATE JET: To take it up a notch, opt-in for a private jet charter directly to Samui Airport from your departure point.
Baan Kilee Master Suite (1)
The Upstairs Master Suite boasts high cathedral ceilings that span the entire upper floor of the villa. What's more, this stunning suite offers gorgeous views of Lipa Noi Bay and the "Five Islands" from the King Sized 4 poster bed and the Suite’s private terrace.
The crowning aspect of this Master Suite’s en-suite bathroom is a sunken terrazzo bath, and an adjoining air-conditioned twin room for children, which can also be doubled up to be used as a day spa massage room. An initial deposit of thirty percent (30%) must be paid to confirm a booking, unless otherwise specified. The initial deposit is fully-refundable up to 90 days prior to arrival.
Given the ever-changing landscape for bookings under the COVID-19 pandemic, the latest terms and conditions for Chai Talay Estate properties will be communicated by our reservations team at least 100 days prior to arrival.

- To cancel the booking without penalty and reclaim 30% deposit.
- To proceed with the booking based on the latest terms and conditions shared.

- Extra beds can be added in all rooms USD 50++ per night.
- Pre-arrival shopping and chef or in-villa shopping service are available at 20% grocery cost only as handling fee.
- An additional chef is required if the number of staying adults in the villa is 14 person or more. Additional chef costs THB2,500++ per day and it is subject to 10% service charge and 7% VAT.
- If the number of guests is 8 persons or less, the rates include 1 x round trip airport transfer (1 van only for each way).
- If the number of guests is 9 persons or above, the rates include 1 x round trip airport transfer (2 vans only for each way) - Different pick up times can be accommodated.
Visas:
If entering by air most nationalities will be granted a 30 day stay on arrival.
If you have a UK or US passport, then you do not need a Visa to enter Thailand (up to 30 days if arriving by air or up to 15 days if arriving by land).
This is known as a visa exemption. You may need to show your return ticket upon arrival and / or complete a landing card.
If you’re staying longer than 30 days then you’ll need to apply for a visa before travelling. If you overstay you may be fined or detained, so check the date twice! Please note that a visa extension can be obtained in Thailand at any immigration office for approx. 2000THB. We recommend checking the latest country entry requirements with your national foreign travel office, for UK citizens this is the Foreign Travel Advice section of https://www.gov.uk
If planning to enter Thailand via a land border multiple times during your travels, we recommend you pre-obtain a 60-day multiple entry visa from your embassy or consulate before you travel rather than attempting to obtain a visa at the border on multiple occasions which may result in being denied re-entry into the country.
