Castello di Vicarello, a castle erected by the Republic of Siena more than 900 years ago, provides an exceptional ambience in Tuscany's most renowned region. Situated 350 meters above sea level, within the quaint village of Poggi del Sasso, you will find a sanctuary where divine tranquillity and undefiled nature meet in perfect harmony. The Castello di Vicarello estate has been organic since the beginning – not a trend, but a way of life - that respects sustainability and Tuscan traditions. Boasting over seven hectares of organic wine vineyards, organic farms, vegetable gardens, and olive groves, Castello di Vicarello is a true testament to sustainable living.

Due to its rich lands and warm climate, Castello di Vicarello is in the perfect position to produce rich, complex and intense wines. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot were each chosen to honour the classic wines of Tuscany. Sangiovese, a staple of Tuscan winemaking is blended with Merlot to create an alternative interpretation of the Maremma.

On the farms, organic ingredients, whether grown on-site or sourced from local farmers, are nurtured in the Italian kitchen gardens and harvested when at their most flavoursome. Cultivating over 50 varieties of vegetables and 30 aromatic herbs, the garden supplies the estate with a selection of the highest quality fresh, seasonal produce. As a result, the chefs use these organic ingredients to create delicious farm to table meals that incorporate the flavours of rustic, Tuscan cuisine.

Suite Torre:

Boasting stunning, 360-degree panoramic views of Vicarello, Suite Torre is most prestigious suite and occupies an entire floor at the highest point of the castle.

Guests are spoiled by unique art pieces, a spacious living area with a fireplace, a traditional Tuscan roof, a large bathroom featuring an Italian marble bathtub, and a private outdoor terrace overlooking the central courtyard (110 sq. m)

Note: Please keep in mind that this suite does not include a shower, only a huge bathtub. Due to the fact that it is only accessible by a steep staircase, it is not suitable for elderly or disabled people.
