Gili Lankanfushi Maldives is a resort that is located on the private island of Lankanfushi in Male Atoll. It is a 20-minute speedboat ride from Male International Airport.
The resort has many amenities to offer, but one of the best features are the bungalows. Recommended for honeymooners, Gili Lankanfushi offers privacy and stunning views.
Sustainability:
Gili Lankanfushi is committed to sustainability, with a particular focus on preserving the natural environment and defending fragile marine ecosystems.
The architecture is built with responsibly sourced plantation teak, palm wood, bamboo, and palm fronds (much of which was gathered during the island regeneration process) in addition to reused telegraph poles. All rooms include biodegradable toiletries in refillable earthenware jars to reduce pollution. All hotel guests receive bottled still and sparkling water from the island's unique desalination plant. Much of the restaurants foods are also picked from their organic gardens.
Villa Suite:
These 18 one-bedroom hideaways are located on two floors and include an open-air living room, spacious bathroom, and private rooftop patio. With direct access to the ocean, spend your days swimming and snorkeling in the coral gardens surrounding your sundeck. Pop on a snorkelling mask and pair of fins and head to the 15-metre drop-off zone at the edge of our house reef. Exploring its dazzling coral walls is like swimming in an aquarium and there is a good chance you will see turtles and rays.
A number of day and night excursions are offered by the local marine biologists. In the right season, they can take you to see giant manta rays up close and personal.

Surfing:
Gili Lankanfushi, in the North Male Atoll, offers ideal conditions for world-class surfing. Three of the country's finest breaks are just a five-minute boat journey away, as well as several more that are within 20 minutes. Tropical water temperatures, consistent swell and low crowds add to the appeal. Teaming up with the luxury surfing company Tropicsurf, their experienced instructors offer an array of activities available for beginners learning in the lagoon, intermediate surfers and expert wave warriors looking for a challenge.

There's also the option of island hopping trips, which include snorkeling opportunities.
Take to the air in a seaplane and enjoy the adventure of flying over some of the Maldives' beautiful atolls during a scenic Flight Experience.
