Conservation:

The Singita Lowveld Trust, a South African corporation, has a staff dedicated to preserving and conserving the region's unique biodiversity. Here, Singita Lowveld Trust manages a wide range of conservation initiatives in Singita Sabi Sand and Singita Kruger National Park, including anti-poaching efforts, wildlife research and land management, sustainability efforts, and community development projects such as early childhood education, digital learning, and a world-class culinary school.

In the Sabi Sand Reserve, a highly trained team of dog trackers and handlers helps to combat poaching, while the Trust's collaboration with international conservation NGO Panthera has shown that the region is home to the greatest number of leopards of any protected area surveyed in South Africa. The Panthera's Furs for Life initiative, in which Singita is a collaborator, has reduced leopard skin demand by 50%. Singita is also a strategic founding partner of the Lionscape Coalition, supporting the Lion Recovery Fund’s goal to double wild lion numbers by 2050.

Location:

Singita Lebombo Lodge lies in the southeastern reaches of the Kruger National Park, on South Africa’s border with Mozambique. Singita's concession is a 33,000-acre slice of untouched wilderness where a distinct species population thrives in four different ecological zones. This area is especially well-known for the remarkable concentration of the ‘Big 5’ and four particularly formidable prides of lions.

The design of the Singita Lebombo Lodge is a celebration of cutting-edge architecture in an African setting, where nature is king. This magnificent lodge boasts 13 suites that suspend high above the N’Wanetsi River and offers all visitors a front-row seat to the Kruger National Park. Watch a richly diverse habitat, teeming with game, from the comfort of your own balcony, before nestling down in bed to watch starry African skies.

If requested, the GoKo Carbon Offsetting scheme does not focus on just planting trees, but rather the purchasing, persevering and protecting standing forests from deforestation and degradation - helping revive forests back to full health and avoiding the release of stored carbon. This also enables the regeneration of degraded habitats, which gradually re-absorb atmospheric CO2.
