The town with the most incredible nightlife in Crete, Heraklion, offers many chances for an amazing night out. The night entertainment consists of modern and traditional spots to choose from. There is an interesting variety of bars and clubs which are located in Heraklion Town, Malia, Hersonissos and other places. Malia, Stalis and Hersonissos are the busiest nightlife spots of Heraklion. In the other tourist places of Heraklion, you may find few all-night clubs but mostly you will find bars that stay open till 2-3 o’clock in the morning. These bars play lounge or loud music.
For a more peaceful night out, you can have dinner at the many taverns around the prefecture of Heraklion. These taverns have delicious local dishes, local wine and traditional raki.

Sports/Water Sports:

However, for those who want to exercise their bodies and indulge in fun activities, there is a whole array of sports in the hotel's Sports Centre including tennis, beach-volley, table tennis, football, mini-golf, petanque and basketball. What's more, there are also plenty of group activities such as yoga, TRX, Zumba, aerobic and much more.
Additionally, fans of water sports will not be disappointed in Hersonissos as there are many water sports centres in the area. Go-carts, parachuting, jet skiing, bungee jumping, football, scuba-diving and all other kinds of water sports such as water skiing, parasailing, banana, ringos or a pedalo, can be practised in the vast areas of these centres.
Scuba Diving:
The extremely beautiful and interesting terrain of Crete, allows you to explore the deep sea canyons, underwater cliffs, caves and shipwrecks, all hidden beneath the surface.
Book onto a guided drive (half or full day) and explore the underwater world of the Aegean Sea. First, you’ll be outfitted with gear and learn some scuba diving basics before navigating the top diving sites of Heraklion.
No experience is required; as your private instructors are there to explain safety procedures and how to use all the equipment.
Mountain Biking

Follow the ancient paths, explore the magnificent scents of herbs, discover canyons, climb to the tops of the highest mountains and enjoy views of the deep blue Cretan and Libyan Seas on the horizon beyond.
Thanks to an immense network of paths and trails in Crete, there is a large number of hiking routes on which you can get to know by foot.
Museums
Crete is rich in history and therefore boasts a number of incredible Museums. From the Archaeological Museum, where treasures of the Palace of Knossos can be found, to the Historical Museum with its various collections of first centuries A.D. delights, and the Battle of Crete and National Resistance Museums, we promise you will not be disappointed.
Other options include the church of St. Aikaterini of Sinai and the Museum of Natural History where representative samples of the flora and fauna of Crete are exhibited.
Beaches:
Hersonissos is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Crete, just 28km east of Heraklion. The calmer beaches are shaped in small coves located west of the port. East of the port there are the most popular beaches of the area. The first beach you come across the east of the port of Hersonissos is a long sandy narrow beach, which is flooded by thousands of people. It is very well organized and close to the amenities of the city.
Anissaras Beach is located 25 km to the east of Heraklion on the north coast of Crete. The beach is accessible to everyone and the amazing rocky shelves have creating amazing little coves and small pools for the small kids to explore.
Analypsi also has lovely beaches for swimming and a delightful little white and blue chapel named Agia Marina. In the western part of the beach of Analipsi there is the river mouth of Aposelemis. The river of “Aposelemis” is a natural border dividing the Municipality of Hersonissos and the Municipality of Gouves.
Sarantaris beach is located 25 km east of Heraklion town and 1 km west of Hersonissos. Sarantaris beaches are consecutive bays starting from Akrotiri Sarantaris and continue east. The main beach inSarantaris, which is the most beautiful, is organized with umbrellas, shower chairs with beautiful exotic sandy bottoms ideal for children. Next to this beach, there are restaurants and mini markets.
Last but not least Limanakia is a compilation of tiny, sandy beaches affected by the north winds. These beaches are not organized but you can easily find food and drink nearby. With no facilities at all, except for some umbrellas here and there, you will be able to enjoy the natural environment and the crystal clear sea.
