Location:
Located in the heart of Porto, Torel 1884 is an old Palace rich in history. The old palace boasting 12 rooms and suites is located on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira, while the apartment building is on Rua das Flores, a pedestrian area two minutes away.
Upon leaving the hotel, you will find yourself within walking distance of the most emblematic places of the city, such as the old train station of São Bento (200m), the Clérigos Tower (450m), the Dom Luis Bridge (500m) or Avenida dos Aliados (350m). Ribeira (350m) on the bank of the Douro River is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Overview:
The stunning Torel 1884 Suites & Apartments consists of two buildings: an old palace dating from 1884 on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira, where you can find our 12 exclusive rooms and suites. Each floor of the palace is thematic and according to the continent from where the first explorers arrived, starting with “Africa” on the ground floor, “America” on the first floor and “Asia” on the second floor.
The second building is located on the parallel street, the pedestrian street Rua das Flores, and features 11 gorgeous apartments. Here, each Room, Suite and Apartment is named after an exotic material that explorers brought back from their travels - from coffee, sugar cane, tea, porcelain and silk, as well as spices such as cardamom, pepper or cinnamon.
