The magical Villas Blue and Superior Villas Blue, surrounded by pine trees, sand dunes and rugged coastlines, is luxury eco-living at its finest. Located on a secluded stretch of shoreline, on Portugals Silver Coast, Areias do Seixo combines bohemian-chic ambience with a techno-eco experience.
There is something incredibly special about the juxtaposition between rusticness and urbanity, with wood, stone, glass, copper, and burnt brick acting as the dominant materials. With the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop, the Villas Blue and Superior Villas Blue include an outdoor pool and barbeque area, and boast large living rooms with fireplaces on the ground floor, as well as fully-equipped kitchens and rooftop terraces.
These stunningly appointed independent villas, located across the road from the main building of the hotel, are perfect for larger families or small groups of friends. Despite the seclusion and independence these villas give you, you are still only a stone’s throw away from the main hotel and are invited to use all of the hotel amenities. Appreciate daily freshly-baked cakes and homemade teas; and cherish the star-gazing evenings around romantic bonfires, acoustic sounds and local wines.
Step outside the confines of your stunning villa and make the most of the hotels outdoor swimming pool, the on-site restaurant which features organic produce sourced from the hotels organic vegetable garden, and the decked path leading to the sand dunes and private beaches. Finally, enjoy a world of unique sensations at the Ayurvedic spa - a place for you to let go, rediscover balance, awaken your inner wisdom and relax as you've never done before.

If you don't feel like cooking yourself, head over to the hotel restaurant, where the gastronomy is based on seasonal and largely Portuguese produce, the majority of which is local. Inspired cuisine that harnesses flowers, bulbs, veggies, and herbs from the in-house garden, the chef carefully selects ingredients as he strolls about with a wicker basket in hand, selecting the meal of the day.
Chilled music sets the ambiance for discussions over rum-drenched, herb-soaked cocktails. The gardens and the sea beyond are visible from panoramic windows; and offer the perfect place to curl up by the firepit with a warming glass of Port in your hand.
Spa & Wellness:
A world of unique sensations awaits you behind the enigmatic oak doors that lead to the SPA; a realm of seclusion, enlightenment and possibilities. Allow yourself to let go, rediscover your balance, quieten your mind and awaken your inner buddah at Areias do Seixo.
The private Villa Blues boasts an incredible outside swimming pool, perfect for cooling off in the midday sun. For those who want to venture a little further, guests can enjoy the hotel pool which nestles quietly amongst the gardens where grapes, tea, fennel, cabbage, and beans are grown. The hotel pool is heated by solar power throughout the year. Guests must be 16 or over.

The hotel's sustainability problems are the focus, not a side issue. The hotel instead relies on geothermal energy and solar power (rather than using air conditioning) and recycles as much as possible. Green 'experiences' may be added to a stay, such as a tour of the organic garden or an informal agricultural lesson with local farmers.
A Little Extra:
Areias do Seixo was designed and fashioned in perfect harmony with the sea, dunes and pine trees. As dusk falls, watch the magnificent sunset over the Atlantic, soaking up the fiery colours reflected on the azure ocean.
A charming hotel with a strong environmental awareness!
The hotel was inspired by a vision: to create a place that looked out over the sea and could welcome people from all over the world, that evoked emotions and touched people's souls.
The site and the concept were designed with a great deal of environmental consciousness in mind, as they wanted to ensure harmonious integration. The main issue was - and will continue to be - to create the smallest possible ecological impact while also promoting environmental understanding among visitors.
What's more, a lovingly maintained garden has also been created with love! An organically cultivated garden packed with fruits, veggies, eggs, fragrant herbs, flowers, and a variety of natural goods that is all used at the hotel - including fibrous plants for bindings; leaves and stalks for decoration; and essential oils for massages.
This space uses principles of sustainable tourism, including:
- Use of renewable energies and use of natural resources.
- Reducing Waste management by reducing, then reusing and finally recycling.
- In the kitchen they try to buy large and returnable packaging. Also, to privilege local suppliers.
- The organic waste is sent back to the composting center to produce a natural fertilizer to feed the farmland healthily.
- In the Garden, they use clean and chemical-free fruits, vegetables and herbs grow daily, giving a unique and healthy flavor to the dishes created in the restaurant.

Carbon Offsetting as Standard
Although all of our GoKo holidays promise to warm your hearts, we don’t want it to contribute to warming the planet.
For every trip booked with us, we support a 3-step carbon offset scheme to calculate and neutralise your holiday footprint, allowing you to travel conscious free. This covers every step of the journey where you travel with us, from international flights to hotel heating, transport, food and more.
The GoKo Carbon Offsetting scheme does not focus on just planting trees, but rather the purchasing, persevering and protecting standing forests from deforestation and degradation - helping revive forests back to full health and avoiding the release of stored carbon. This also enables the regeneration of degraded habitats, which gradually re-absorb atmospheric CO2.
